Frequently asked questions
What is my Guild education benefit and how does it work?
Your Guild education benefit gives you access to employer-funded education programs selected by Guild and your employer to support both business needs and your career growth. Programs may include degrees, certificates, short-form programs, and career-focused courses.
What does my Guild benefit cover and what do I pay?
Your employer may cover some or all of your tuition for eligible education programs offered through Guild, and in some cases books and course fees. Coverage depends on your employer’s benefit design and available funding. You’re responsible only for costs outside your approved funding.
How does Guild help me choose the right program?
Guild Support can help you choose a program that fits your goals, experience, and schedule. You can contact Guild Support to talk through options, eligibility, and funding, or get help selecting a program that aligns with your career goals.
Who is eligible for the Guild benefit?
It depends on your employer’s program rules and your employment status. Your eligibility status will appear on your home page. Eligibility is reviewed when you apply and again at the start of each term for multi-term programs.
How do I get started using my Guild benefit?
Log in to your Guild account to explore programs available through your employer and apply directly through the platform. Guild helps you compare options, understand requirements, and prepare to apply.
How does the application and approval process work?
After you submit a Guild program application, it’s reviewed to confirm eligibility and funding availability. If approved, you’ll enroll directly with the learning provider. Employer-funded tuition is applied after you officially start the program.
How long do programs take and how much time should I expect to spend?
Program lengths range from a few weeks for short-form programs to multiple years for degrees. Most programs are designed to fit alongside full-time work, with flexible pacing options.
Can Guild help me advance in my current role or explore a new career?
Guild programs can help build skills for your current role, prepare for leadership opportunities, or explore new career paths aligned with your employer’s workforce needs. Many programs are mapped to in-demand roles and career paths.
What kind of support will I get while I’m learning?
Guild provides personalized support, from program selection through completion. This may include education guidance, coaching, and help navigating challenges along the way.
Do I have to pay anything upfront or pay the benefit back?
Most learners don’t pay tuition upfront for approved programs and don’t need to pay their education benefit back. For some programs, you may pay upfront and receive reimbursement after submitting required documentation. Guild benefits are not loans.
